Jeffrey Ball is the Founder of Friendly Hills Bank where he currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to opening Friendly Hills Bank he held several officer positions with Bank America Corporation focused on both Commercial and Investment Banking. Mr. Ball is a Past Chairman of the California Bankers Association, Past President of the Whittier Host Lions Club and current Chairman of the Whittier Union High School District Foundation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Friendly Hills Bank, the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, the Western Bankers Association and Data Center, Inc., which is a bank technology company based in Kansas. Mr. Ball is also a member of the Government Relations Administrative Committee for the American Bankers Association which he previously chaired. He previously served as a board member for the Orange County Business Council, Junior Achievement of Orange County, the Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce and as Vice Chairman of the Measure "W" Bond Oversight Committee for the Whittier Union High School District. Mr. Ball served on the School Site Council for Brywood Elementary School in Irvine and on the Local Oversight Board for the Albert Einstein Academy in Huntington Beach. Mr. Ball has a Masters in Business Administration from Whittier College, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound and is a resident of Huntington Beach.

Bill is a semi-retired teacher having spent 40 years teaching sixth grade as well as seventh and eighth grade science mostly in the Irvine Unified School District. Currently, he is a supervisor of math and science student teachers for the University of California, Irvine. He teaches a course on Ocean Science to middle school students for the Irvine Public Schools Foundation’s Summer Enrichment Academy, and he serves on their Board of Directors, too. Also, he writes a parenting blog about educational issues called “Parenting is Tough”. During his tenure in the classroom, he took his sixth grade students to the Catalina Island Marine Institute for their week of outdoor education every March. He worked for Educational Field Studies (EFS) a student travel company that merged with other student travel companies to become World Strides. While with EFS, he hired and trained trip leaders for educational field trips as well as wrote curriculum for the various field trip destinations offered by EFS. Working with health services in Irvine, Bill organized the Guy Stuff program for sixth grade boys and their fathers. Guy Stuff fosters communication between boys and their fathers on puberty and human sexuality. Bill is the past president of the Doheny State Beach Foundation, and he coordinated fund raising to rebuild Doheny’s Visitor Center. He currently is a University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources Master Gardener. Bill has a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Whittier College and a Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University. He holds a life K-12 multiple subject teaching credential with a supplementary in science. Bill is a third generation Californian. He and his wife have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law, and a granddaughter.

Michele Asay

Michele Asay is a mother, wife, and Senior Information Technology professional; in that order! A native of Orange County, California, Michele spent her entire educational career within the OC; graduating cum laude from Chapman University in Orange with her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Art. Specializing in the area of business intelligence, Michele helps organizations identify their data needs and designs, builds, and delivers solutions to support those needs in varied industries including utilities, lending, and apparel & footwear. After the birth of her first child, Michele altered her career path to enable a better work life balance and allow for more participation in her children’s education. Michele & her husband Todd are 20 year residents of Huntington Beach with their three children attending Kinetic Academy. Over the course of her career, Michele chaired event committees to raise money for annual Giving Campaigns and has been recognized with multiple awards for Operational Excellence. Currently, Michele is the Senior Manager, Americas Business Intelligence Team for global action sports company Boardriders, headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA. Michele is a supporter of parent choice in education and is proud of her contribution to choice with the founding of Kinetic Academy.

Bre Lionetti

A southern California native and long time Orange County resident, Mrs. Lionetti received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from University of California, Santa Barbara. She went on to obtain her teaching credential from California State University, Bakersfield and Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University. With over 15 years of experience in education, Mrs. Lionetti has a strong foundation in elementary education. She has worked at a variety of schools in a number of settings with diverse populations of students and has taught Kindergarten through 5th grade. In 2016, she took a leap of faith and dedicated herself to opening Huntington Beach City School District’s first charter school, Kinetic Academy.

"I wish I would have had the opportunity to attend a school that offers what Kinetic offers to our students," Mrs. Lionetti. She believes that all students should receive a quality education that gives them multiple opportunities to excel, which is exactly what Kinetic Academy strives to do.

In her spare time, Mrs. Lionetti enjoys spending time with her family, friends, husband and their dog, Sammie.

Clare McKinnon

Clare McKinnon Anderson

Clare is a Huntington Beach Resident of 20-plus years. When searching for local schools to enroll her daughter in for kindergarten, she discovered Kinetic Academy. Drawn to the STEAM-based education model, and the emphasis on community service, her daughter started at Kinetic Academy in 2017. Clare became involved with the Kinetic Parent Organization (KPO) leading the Waves of Kindness position which focused on community service and outreach and has also served as fundraising chair for the KPO Board.

Professionally, Clare has been in the mortgage industry for 22 years, working in different capacities, most recently as Vice President of Credit Risk for loanDepot.

Clare earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Redlands, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Environmental Studies. Her passion for travel was ignited there and she spent her Junior year of college studying abroad. Clare is thrilled to bring her experience and background to the Kinetic Academy board and to contribute to the growth and success of Kinetic. #KAAlltheWay
