A Washington State native, Mrs. Breeze graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Tourism Management and a Minor in Dance Education and Ensemble. She has worked at both Charter and Private schools in Northern and Southern California and is happy to be a part of Kinetic's inaugural staff. Mrs. Breeze is passionate about the Performing Arts and loves to travel and spend time with her husband and two Miniature Poodles, Meggie and Molly.
Mrs. Rierson is proud to have been part of the Kinetic Academy (KA) inaugural staff. She loves the vision and mission of KA. Her goal is to educate the whole child, so she focuses on strong academics, social competence, and character development. In her three years at KA, she has developed a comprehensive 5th grade program that includes extra-curriculars such as an over-night science camp, Student Council, and Yearbook Club. Mrs. Rierson earned her B.A. in English as well as her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through UC Irvine. In recent years, she has received training in Project Based Learning, Responsive Classroom, and Units of Study for Reading and Writing through Columbia University.
Mrs. Reeves received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Leadership Studies at Chapman University. She continued to remain local to her SoCal roots and attended Vanguard University where she received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. After studying in 12 different countries with the Semester at Sea program, Mrs. Reeves is passionate about guiding students to be lifelong learners and global servant leaders. In her free time, she enjoys playing beach volleyball and going to Dog Beach with her husband and Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Ms. Doherty obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Long Beach in 2012, and continued on to receive her Master’s Degree in Education in 2017. She has experience teaching 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade. In her free time, Ms. Doherty enjoys the outdoors, whether camping, hiking, or paddle boarding.
Mrs. Warren graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor degree in Liberal Studies. She continued her studies at CSULB and obtained a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Mrs. Warren enjoys reading, music and spending time with her husband and three kids at the beach.
As a So Cal native, Ms. Covarrubias received her B.A. in Liberal Studies and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University Long Beach. In her free time Ms. Covarrubias enjoys reading, coaching soccer, and going to baseball games with her son.
Mrs. Wong received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and graduated with honors from California State University, Long Beach in 2012. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, first, second, and sixth grades.
Mrs. Kunze experienced various career paths before finding her passion for teaching. She holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Irvine, as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Single Subject Math Teaching Credential and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University Long Beach. Mrs. Kunze is a long time Huntington Beach resident and spends her free time with her family, enjoying the outdoors and running BraveOnes Foundation in memory of her son.
This is Ms. Brown's 4th year at Kinetic Academy. She loves teaching first grade and loves the community that Kinetic has become in the first 3 years since it opened. In her spare time Ms. Brown enjoys hiking and being outdoors. She has two children who have brought her so much joy and she loves hanging out with them in Palm Springs. Ms. Brown grew up in Orange County and has a BA in Geography from Long Beach State. She is excited to be at Kinetic Academy again this year!! KA all the way!!!
Ms. Ross received her BA and teaching credential from California State University San Marcos. She taught for a few years before going on to earn her Master of Science in Education from Cal Baptist University. In her free time, she loves to golf, play with her dog and spend time with her family. Ms. Ross has 5 years of teaching experience and is excited to join the Kinetic family!
Mrs. Gennawey, a New Jersey native, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education along with a Language Arts Middle School credential from Montclair State University. Montclair State is one of the most highly distinguished teacher preparation programs in the country.
Mrs. Hess earned her bachelor's in diversified liberal arts along with her multiple subject teaching credential from the University of San Diego. She then proceeded to earn her Master's of Teaching with a specialty in teaching reading. She is excited to be a part of the Kinetic Academy community.
Mrs.George - Special Education & Student Services Coordinator
Ms.George received her General Education Credential, Special Education Credential and Master’s Degree in Special Education from Chapman University. She also received a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from The George Washington University. She has taught in many educational settings; General Education, Inclusion Model, Learning Center Model, Special Day Class and Non -Public Schools, ranging from k-12+ grades. She has over 15 years of experience and loves finding ways to help educate students who are struggling. In her spare time, she enjoys watching/playing sports, baking and doing crafts with her 2 kids. She grew up in Huntington Beach and loves being a part of our KA Family!
Mrs.Roy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Design from the University of California, Los Angeles. She continued on to obtain her teaching credential and took her first teaching position in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Mrs.Roy has taught kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grades.
Coach Milano is our Physical Education teacher. She is originally from Rhode Island, where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. In 2013, she moved to the golden state and made Huntington Beach her new home. She received her California credentials in K-12 physical education and health education. She began teaching P.E. at Kinetic Academy in the fall of 2016. She spends her free time being active outdoors with Mr. Milano and their dog Lucky.
Mrs. Danzer graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a B. A. in Political Science. She went on to obtain her Early Childhood teaching credential and taught preschool for 3 years. She later returned to Cal State Long Beach to obtain her Multiple Subject Credential. When not at school, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
