We are in the home stretch of our 1st Trimester. From now through December 14th, the Power School parent portal will be shut down so that teachers can work on report card comments and finalize grades for the 1st Trimester.
Report cards will be sent home (in envelopes) with students next Friday, December 14th. There will be 2 copies of the report card in the envelope. One is for you to keep, the other needs to be signed and returned to your child's teacher. We ask that you review, sign and return Report Cards by Tuesday, December 18th.
Due to rain forecasted for this Thursday evening, we have rescheduled SPACE NIGHT! We are sorry for the inconvenience but with clouds, rain and thunder, we will be unable to look at the stars.
Space Night is being moved to Friday, December 7th. We hope you are still able to attend and support our 5th graders and participate in the fun activities that have been planned.
For the month of November, we saw an increase in absences. There were only 16 school days, and we had a total of 144 absences. Our attendance rate for the 18/19 year is 97.65%, which still meets our 97% school wide goal. In order to maintain this, we need to keep attendance high. December is another short month, with only 15 school days. Keeping our students healthy and sending your child to school when they are not sick needs to be a priority to all. As a reminder, letters will be sent home to families on absence #3, #5 and #7. Our goal is for all students to have no more than 5 absences (excused and unexcused combined) within the school year.

This months Spirit Day is on December 21st, and the theme is "Holiday Colors". Students are encouraged to dress up in their holiday wear. If they choose not to participate, then they should come in normal school attire.
Pre-enrollment for 19/20 school year is open for NEW STUDENTS. Re-enrollment for our current students will be sent out in February. If you know someone that would be interested in choosing to send their child to Kinetic, please encourage them to come to one of our scheduled information sessions.
144 of our students have completed a total of 687.5 Community Service hours since June 1, 2018. The participation rate is just under 50% of the school. We want 100% participation from each student. Find an event and sign up! If you have hours earned, please turn them in so that we can account for them.
