Can you believe it is already November? This year is flying by so quickly and the holidays will be here before we know it.
Thank you to everyone who attended our KPO General Meetings in October and November. We appreciate the time you commit to helping this school be an amazing experience for our kiddos. If you haven’t made it to a meeting yet, the next opportunity isTuesday, January 8 at 8:20 am in the MPR. Due to the busy holiday season, we are not having a KPO General Meeting in December.
We are opening our Student Store on Thursday, November 8th during lunch. The Student Store is ran by our 5th grade student council and items sell for $1-$10. All proceeds from the Student Store will go toward a 5th grade class gift to Kinetic Academy. Student Store will be open one day a month, coinciding with one of the Lunch With A Loved One dates.
Don't forget about the Dine Out at The Habit Thursday, November 8th. Attached is a flyer with all the info.
Join us for Skate Night on Thursday, November 15 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm!
Want to tell your teacher or classmates how thankful you are for them? Keep your eye out for the Gratitude Gram Order Forms. The Gratitude Grams are attached if you want to get a head start on filling them out.
Looking forward, December will bring us some great community service opportunities! We are partnering with Kristie’s Hope and Marine Corps league 835 to make holiday cards for veterans and help stuff stockings that will be delivered to veterans in local VA hospitals. Sign up here!
In addition, one hour of community service can be earned for each student who brings in an Operation Christmas Child box to school by 11/16. For more information, click on Operation Christmas Child.
Also coming up in December is our Snowflake Shop, which is an on-campus shop where students can purchase holiday gifts for family members. This is a super fun event that the students just LOVE, and we need your help to pull it off! We are looking for crafters who are willing to help create items for the store, as well as volunteers to run the store, help the students shop and wrap gifts. Contact Alta Ortega if you can help!
