While we are very appreciative to have our charter approval behind us that has not stopped or slowed down the many aspects of planning which are required to get the school open in several months. We realize that many of you still have lots of questions as you contemplate the educational options for your children. In order to help you with that process and understand more about our school we have scheduled two information sessions in April:
Wednesday, April 13th at 6:30pm and
Saturday, April 23rd at 10am
Both sessions will take place at Community United Methodist Church, 6652 Heil Ave, Huntington Beach.
We will do a short presentation and then take your questions. Many aspects of Kinetic Academy are coming into place but we also have a tremendous amount of work to do. It is our intention to be fully transparent and will provide updates on all aspects of the school's formation at these sessions.
Realize that what we are doing is completely independent of any other school or Charter Management Organization. This means the ability to make decisions for the exclusive benefit of our community... but also requires an extensive amount of planning and preparation. We are excited to offer this completely independent alternative and to share some of the details with you at these sessions. We hope that you will join us and have offered two very different times to accommodate as many people as possible.
Interest in the school has picked up following the recent unanimous approval of our charter by the Huntington Beach City School District. With our extensive outreach to all parts of the community we have seen a significant rise in pre-enrollments. If you have not yet pre-enrolled your child please be aware that our pre-enrollment period will end at 11:59pm on April 1st. After that, we will continue to accept enrollment forms and they will be processed in the order received.
Thank you to all who continue to send your encouragement and offers of help. We are very proud of what we are building and look forward to working with you in the years ahead to provide a quality educational alternative for our local community.
